As the wise philosopher once said, “Another One!”
I have successfully taken and passed the CompTIA Security+ examination. This gave me so much Joy. I wanted to pass this certification for a long time!

Preparation Material
Professor Messer (Youtube): I used the free youtube videos. I did not watch the whole playlist but I watched the videos discussing Threats, Attacks and Vulnerabilities and Technologies and Tools.
Jason Dion (Udemy): This was an amazing resource. Jason Dion has 6 practice tests on Udemy. they are all about 80 questions and were really useful for me. I recommend that if you use this resource, when answering questions, try to also answer why the other choices are wrong.
To be completely honest, I got like 50% and 30% score when I first took the practice exams. but I focused on 1 practice exam and after a couple of tries, I got a 90%. After that, I did not do the rest. but I recommend that you should do all 6 of them and try to get 90% on all of them.
Exam
I felt ready to do the exam but I was in for a huge surprise. as soon as the exam started, the first 20 questions scared the S*!T out of me. I honestly believed I failed after doing the first 20 questions but it got better from there. after a brutal ~60 minutes, I clicked submit. then BOOM, a CompTIA Survey lol! that was the longest survey I ever did and it is such a petty move from their part to lock the score behind a survey screen. it has such a dystopian futuristic vibe to it. anywho, after I did that, I got the confirmation that I passed!
What’s Next?
This was such a huge accomlishment! I honestly didn’t think I would pass, so i currently don’t know what to do next….
But, I might pursue one of Offensive Security Certifications (if I get a scholarship or sometype of funding, want to fund a broke college student? contact me at @Ahanemes#0401 on discord) if God wills it and I do get a funding, I plan to do the OSCP.
